How the tour works
From the mash tun to your tasting flight.
It’s about an hour, start to finish — a small group, a working brewhouse, one of our brewers, and five beers to taste your way through at the end. No script, no velvet ropes. Just how craft beer actually gets made in Asheville.
Meet at the bar
Your guide — usually one of our brewers — greets your group at the taproom bar with a pour to kick things off. We keep tours small (12 guests or fewer on the weekend walk-in) so everyone can hear and ask questions.
Into the brewhouse
Step past the bar into our working 7-barrel brewhouse. You’ll see the mash tun, boil kettle, and fermenters up close, and learn how Appalachian water, malt, hops, and yeast become the beer in your glass — from grain to grist to the cold side.
Meet the brewers
This is a working brewery, not a museum. You’ll meet the people who actually brew every batch, hear the story behind our flagship Ridgeline IPA, and get honest answers about what it takes to run a small independent brewery in Asheville.
Guided flight tasting
Finish back in the taproom with a guided flight of five Ridgemont beers — from the crisp Merrimon Lager to the roasty Black Bear Stout. Your brewer walks you through what to taste, why it’s there, and how each one is built.

- Roughly 60 minutes total — about 25 in the brewhouse, the rest tasting
